GATES — A Gates Police officer arrested a Rochester man on drug charges Sunday after stopping his vehicle for an equipment violation on Chili Avenue.
The officer discovered the vehicle had switched plates from Georgia, no New York registration and no insurance during the Sept. 14 traffic stop.
The plates that were supposed to be on the vehicle had expired.
Police identified the driver as Julius Morrison, 36, of Rochester.
Officers found 26 grams of suspected crack cocaine, a large sum of money, scales and other drug paraphernalia after detaining Morrison.
Morrison was taken to the Monroe County Jail for centralized arraignment court.
