Duxbury man arrested after blocking traffic, assaulting passenger

DUXBURY — A 41-year-old man was arrested Saturday morning after blocking traffic and assaulting a passenger in a vehicle on River Road.

Tyler Fisk of Duxbury contacted Vermont State Police at 8:45 a.m. to report a dispute with a vehicle traveling on River Road.

Police investigation revealed Fisk committed disorderly conduct by blocking the flow of traffic.

The investigation also showed Fisk unlawfully entered the vehicle of Dale Cubit, 66, of Duxbury.

Fisk then assaulted Kevin Lavanway, 65, of Waterbury, who was a passenger in the vehicle, and stole his cell phone.

Fisk was taken into custody and transported to the Vermont State Police Barracks in Berlin for processing.

He was later released on conditions with a citation to appear in Washington County Superior Court on Sept. 15 at 12:30 p.m.

Fisk faces charges of larceny from a person, simple assault, unlawful trespass into a vehicle and disorderly conduct.
