CONQUEST — Sheriff Brian Schenck reports that on Sept. 7 at 9:07 a.m. members of the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office arrested Brendan K. Snyder, age 37, on an arrest warrant.
Snyder faces charges of attempted assault in the third degree, criminal obstruction of breathing and endangering the welfare of a child.
On Sept. 6 at approximately 8:52 p.m., members of the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a disturbance in the Town of Conquest.
Upon investigation, it was determined that there was a domestic dispute where Snyder had grabbed a victim by the throat and covered their mouth, in the presence of multiple children.
Deputies then applied for an arrest warrant for Snyder, which was executed a short time later.
Snyder was brought to the Public Safety Building for processing and turned over to Cayuga County Jail for centralized arraignment part court arraignment on Sept. 7 at 7 p.m.
Snyder is due back in Conquest Town Court at a later date and time.
