BOSTON — The Boston Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying suspects connected to multiple assaults and robberies in Dorchester.
Officers responded to a robbery in progress at Maaz’s Chicken at 838 Blue Hill Avenue at about 12:56 a.m. Thursday.
Police said three Black teenage females dressed in black clothing with white lettering were loitering inside the restaurant and harassing customers.
When an employee stepped away from the register, one female climbed onto the counter and attempted to open it but was unsuccessful, according to police.
The suspect is described as having dyed red hair styled with gel.
Three Black teenage males were waiting outside during the incident, police said.
All six suspects fled on Blue Hill Avenue toward Talbot Avenue.
Police released surveillance images from an earlier incident at about 7:05 p.m. Sept. 2 at Community Convenience at 44 Norfolk Street in Mattapan.
Three teenage girls entered the store, went behind the counter and assaulted an employee by punching and kicking him, police said.
Two employees were assaulted during the incident, and the suspects stole candy, vape pens and ice cream before fleeing on foot toward Withington Street.
District B-3 detectives are reviewing both incidents.
