BRUNSWICK — State Police arrested Noah T. Mulhearn Mann, 27, of Petersburgh, N.Y., on Sept. 2 for two counts of Agriculture & Markets Law 353 – overdriving, torturing and injuring animals: failure to provide proper sustenance.
Troopers responded to a home on Varville Road in Petersburgh, N.Y., on Aug. 23 for reports of suspected animal neglect.
During the investigation, troopers located two dogs being housed in a shed with obvious signs of malnutrition and in need of veterinary care.
The dogs were seized and transported to the Capital District Veterinary Hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
Mulhearn Mann was later arrested and processed at State Police Brunswick.
He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Petersburgh Town Court on Sept. 23 and released.
The seized animals have been surrendered to the care of the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society where they are receiving the care and comfort they need to heal.
