Moriah Center man arrested for first-degree robbery in Ausable

AUSABLE — New York State Police arrested Justin M. Sprague, 29, of Moriah Center, for first-degree robbery on Sept. 10.

Police responded to a robbery complaint on Route 9 in Ausable at approximately 8:34 a.m.

Investigation revealed that Sprague had stolen items from the victim while threatening them with a knife.

He left the scene with the stolen items before law enforcement arrived.

State Police conducted an active search for Sprague and later found him in front of Saint Joseph’s in Keeseville.

He was arrested and transported to the SP Plattsburgh for processing.

Sprague was arraigned in the City of Plattsburgh Court and was remanded to Clinton County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail, $50,000 bond, or a partially secured bond of $250,000.
