New York police continue search for woman missing 24 years

OWEGO — New York State Police remain committed to finding answers in the Michele Harris case on the 24th anniversary of her disappearance.

Harris was last seen on Sept. 11, 2001.

Despite extensive investigation, her whereabouts remain unknown.

In the coming weeks, State Police investigators will be conducting additional searches for evidence related to this case.

These efforts reflect continued determination to locate Michele and provide a resolution for her family and the community.

While there has been public attention on a private reward and tip line, the New York State Police clarified that this tip line is not connected to their agency.

If any information has been provided to that tip line, it has not been shared with State Police.
