EAST LYME — A 42-year-old East Lyme man has been charged with first-degree larceny for allegedly stealing approximately $87,000 from the East Lyme Little League Association.
Roland Allard was arrested Sept. 10 following an investigation by the East Lyme Police Department’s Detective Division.
The investigation began June 24 when police received a larceny complaint from the East Lyme Little League Association.
Detectives determined Allard misappropriated the funds, establishing probable cause for an arrest warrant.
Allard posted bond following his arrest.
He is scheduled to be arraigned in New London Superior Court on Sept. 24.
