QUEENSBURY — State Police arrested a Warrensburg man Friday on charges related to child sexual exploitation.
Dana A. Roberts, 35, was charged with promoting a sexual performance by a child, a class D felony, possessing a sexual performance by a child, a class E felony, and sexual misconduct.
Roberts is accused of promoting and possessing images consistent with child sexual exploitation.
During the investigation, recorded images of alleged sexual contact between Roberts and an animal were also discovered.
His arrest followed an investigation and the execution of a search warrant at his residence in Warrensburg on Sept. 5.
The investigation stemmed from a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
State Police worked with assistance from the Troop G Computer Crimes Unit, the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce, and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
Roberts was transported to State Police Queensbury where he was arrested and processed.
He was then transported to the Warren County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
