BREWSTER — Deputies were dispatched to assist the Village of Brewster Police Department with a burglary call at a residence Sept. 3 at approximately 10:30 p.m.

The homeowner, who was away at the time, had called 911 after observing someone inside the home through a Ring camera.

Officers and deputies searched the house and were unable to locate a suspect, but found evidence that confirmed someone had entered unlawfully.

About an hour later, deputies were dispatched to an auto dealership in the Town of Southeast for an alarm activation.

While deputies were checking the business, a Carmel Police Department K9 officer who had been requested for assistance with a search located a suspect nearby, and he was taken into custody.

He was charged with burglary in the 2nd and 3rd degrees, criminal mischief in the 3rd degree, criminal possession of stolen property in the 4th degree, attempted grand larceny in the 3rd degree, all felonies, and misdemeanor possession of burglar’s tools.

Rosado was arraigned in the Town of Southeast Court and remanded to the Putnam County Correctional Facility on $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond.
