SOUTH WINDSOR — Police arrested two women on separate shoplifting charges Tuesday.
Melissa Riley, 42, of Manchester, was arrested at 9:46 a.m. on an active arrest warrant stemming from a May shoplifting incident at Costco on Tamarack Avenue.
Riley allegedly stole $1,355.15 worth of merchandise from the store at 1220 Tamarack Avenue.
She was processed and presented at Manchester Superior Court Tuesday, as she was already in state custody on charges from other jurisdictions.
In a separate incident, Annemarie M. Baldwin, 22, of Storrs, was arrested at 7:21 p.m. after police responded to Target at 125 Buckland Hills Drive for a shoplifter in custody.
Baldwin allegedly failed to pay for $263.28 worth of merchandise.
She was issued a misdemeanor summons and is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on Sept. 24 at 9 a.m.
