Woman dies in head-on crash in Turner

TURNER — A 28-year-old Auburn woman died Tuesday morning after her vehicle crossed the centerline and struck a FedEx delivery truck head-on on Auburn Road.

Jacqueline Langevin was pronounced dead at the scene of the 9:56 a.m. crash near SR1 Recreation on Route 4, according to the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office.

The FedEx truck driver, Cory Parent, 37, of Auburn, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Central Maine Medical Center for evaluation.

Preliminary investigation indicates Langevin was driving a 2005 Volvo station wagon when she crossed the centerline and struck the delivery truck head-on.

The Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash with assistance from the Maine State Police Commercial Enforcement Unit.

Turner Fire & Rescue also responded to the scene.

Auburn Road was closed for approximately 4½ hours during the investigation.
