HOLBROOK — The Holbrook Police Department arrested Michael Lydon in connection with a commercial break-in and theft that occurred Aug. 6.
Holbrook officers responded to a report of a commercial break-in where several tools were stolen, vehicles were damaged, and the suspect attempted to steal a lawn mower.
With assistance from Hingham Police, Lydon was identified as a suspect after he allegedly committed similar crimes in Hingham.
Police executed search warrants and recovered several items of stolen property at a Holbrook residence.
An arrest warrant was issued charging Lydon with larceny of a motor vehicle (2 counts), larceny over $1,200 (2 counts), breaking and entering a vehicle nighttime for felony (2 counts), and malicious damage to a motor vehicle (2 counts).
A subsequent investigation resulted in an additional charge of animal cruelty.
Abington Police Department made the arrest of Lydon.
