DUXBURY — Duxbury Police Detectives have obtained arrest warrants for three men who were involved in stealing a Duxbury resident’s car.
On Aug. 2, an Eli’s Lane resident contacted the Duxbury Police to report that their 2012 Lexus RX had been stolen overnight.
The vehicle also contained the owner’s purse.
Detectives were able to determine that the owner’s credit cards had been used at several businesses immediately after the car was stolen.
Security video from those businesses was used to identify three men.
The video was shown to several Rhode Island police officers familiar with the suspects, and they were able to confirm their identities.
Arrest warrants were obtained for Donald Dawson, 53, of Attleboro, Marco Jorge, 49, of Pawtucket, R.I., and William Wolfe, 51 of Pawtucket, R.I.
The three will each be charged with crimes related to the theft of the vehicle and the use of the stolen credit cards.
Further investigation revealed that Dawson had also broken into a car on Lacosse Road on the same night as the vehicle theft.
Wolfe has already surrendered to the Plymouth Court where he was arraigned and released with an October court date.
The other two men are still being sought.
