MALTA — The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 21-year-old man on driving while intoxicated charges Thursday morning after he allegedly fled the scene of a property damage crash.
Jacob T. Bowe of Galway was taken into custody following a traffic stop at 8:38 a.m. on state Route 9P in Malta.
Deputies had stopped Bowe’s vehicle after it reportedly left the scene of a crash in Stillwater.
Bowe is charged with DWI, operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of 0.08% or greater, suspended registration and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
Authorities say Bowe was operating the vehicle while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of 0.15%.
He is also accused of driving with a suspended registration and operating a motor vehicle without a valid license.
Bowe was released on appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in Malta Town Court.
