HASTINGS — State Police arrested Randasha A. Bailey, age 25, of Parish, on Sept. 3 in connection with a rollover crash that occurred July 16 on Interstate 81 in the town of Hastings.
Bailey was charged with driving while ability impaired by the combined influence of drugs or alcohol and drugs.
A toxicology report revealed the presence of cannabis and a blood alcohol content of 0.15%.
Bailey was the operator of a 2006 Ford Explorer involved in the crash.
Bailey was issued tickets for no license, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle 3rd degree, improper passing on the right, moved from lane unsafely, failed to use designated lane, speed not reasonable and prudent, reckless driving, drinking alcohol or using cannabis in a motor vehicle on a highway, and no seat belt.
Bailey was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Oswego County CAP Court on Sept. 15.
On July 16 at about 6:12 p.m., New York State Police responded to a one-vehicle crash on Interstate 81 southbound.
A preliminary investigation determined that Bailey’s vehicle was traveling northbound on Interstate 81 when it crossed into the median, overturned multiple times, and came to rest in the center of the southbound lane.
Bailey was transported to Upstate Hospital in critical condition.
