Moores Forks woman arrested on assault charges in Prospect

PROSPECT — New York State Police arrested Danielle A. Guay-Dupras, 40, of Moores Forks, N.Y., on Sept. 2.

She was charged with second-degree assault, third-degree assault, criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree (previous conviction), and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree (firearm/weapon).

At approximately 2:11 a.m. on Sept. 2, troopers responded to a complaint of assault in Prospect, located in the town of Champlain.

The investigation revealed that Guay-Dupras had been showing a stun gun to the victim when she used it against his forearm.

The victim was upset by this action and asked her to leave his residence.

He subsequently requested EMS, as he did not feel well following the incident.

Champlain EMS evaluated the victim, who was cleared and chose to decline further medical evaluation at the hospital.

Troopers located Guay-Dupras, arrested her, and transported her to SP Champlain for processing.

She was arraigned in the Town of Champlain Court and released on her own recognizance.
