Waterville man arrested on DUI, negligent operation charges

WATERVILLE — A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and negligent operation after being clocked driving 79 mph in a 35 mph zone Sept. 5.

Hunter Tallman of Waterville was stopped by a Vermont State Police trooper at approximately 10:50 p.m. in the area of Vermont Route 109 and Burt Road.

The trooper observed Tallman’s vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and continuing to operate in a negligent manner.

During the traffic stop, troopers detected indicators of impairment while speaking with Tallman.

Tallman was arrested and transported to the Morrisville Police Department for processing.

He was released with a citation to appear at Lamoille County Superior Court on Oct. 22 at 8:30 a.m.

Tallman was also issued a Vermont Civil Violation Complaint for speeding, which carries a $655 waiver and 8 points.
