LAWRENCE — On Aug. 26, officers assigned to the Midnight Patrol Division responded to the area of Hancock Street following reports of shots fired.
Upon arrival, officers observed a vehicle with two male occupants, the only individuals present in the immediate area.
Officers engaged both individuals in conversation, and through the course of the interaction, two firearms were recovered.
Both males were taken into custody without incident and transported to the Lawrence Police Department for booking.
Further investigation revealed that one of the recovered firearms had been reported stolen.
Charges include possession of a large-capacity feeding device, unlawful possession of ammunition without FID, improper storage of a firearm, carrying a loaded firearm, carrying a firearm without a license and receiving stolen property under $1,200.
