ESSEX — Essex Police Department assisted by Colchester Police and Vermont Department of Motor Vehicles executed search warrants at two separate residences within the apartment complex located at 27 Susie Wilson on Friday at 9 a.m.
The search warrant was granted by the Honorable Court as a result of an investigation into two juveniles sending threatening messages via social media to other school aged juveniles.
The threatening messages included photos/videos of guns and threatening to harm the juveniles at the schools they attend.
EWSD staff continued to be key partners in this investigation.
The Essex Police seized evidence to support the charges of Criminal Threatening and Disturbing peace by use of telephone or other electronic communications.
The juvenile offenders were 12 and 13 years of age and were both issued Juvenile Citations to appear at Family Court.
While serving the warrants, Shawn Foy Sr. age 60 of Essex was taken into custody for an outstanding arrest warrant stemming from failing to appear for a previous DUI charge.
Foy was transported to Vermont Superior Court-Criminal Division for the warrant.
Joshua Limoge-Francis age 32 of Essex was taken into custody for Impeding Public Officers, Assault of Protected Professional, and Resisting Arrest.
Limoge-Francis was processed at the Essex Police Department for the above charges and later released on Court Conditions and a Flash Citation to appear at Vermont Superior Court on Monday, Sept. 8.
