AUGUSTA — A 54-year-old Augusta man died Thursday afternoon when his pickup truck rolled over on the southbound exit 113 off-ramp of Interstate 95.
Shaun McFarlin was driving a 2006 Ford pickup truck on the off-ramp at approximately 1:04 p.m. when he left the roadway, according to Maine State Police.
McFarlin was pronounced dead at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash.
Police said McFarlin was not wearing a seatbelt and speed is believed to be a factor in the crash.
Troopers from Troop I were assisted by Augusta Fire & Rescue, Maine Department of Transportation and AC Towing.
The off-ramp was closed for approximately 1.5 hours while authorities investigated and cleared the scene.
