BOYLSTON — Boylston Dispatch received a 911 call from a Brookside Apartments resident who was in crisis and making threatening statements involving a firearm at approximately 3:30 a.m. Thursday.
Responding Boylston officers arrived on scene and determined that the caller had barricaded himself inside his residence.
It was confirmed that the individual owned multiple firearms.
Additional resources were requested, including Boylston Fire, West Boylston Police, and the Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council Crisis Negotiation Team.
Boylston and West Boylston police engaged in negotiations with the individual, successfully convincing him to exit his residence unarmed.
Officers detained the individual and seized multiple firearms.
Boylston Fire personnel evaluated the individual, who was subsequently transported to the hospital.
