BARRINGTON — Two Barrington residents were killed in a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of Route 125 and Newtown Plains Road on Sept. 3.
The Barrington Police Department responded to the collision at approximately 1 p.m.
The crash involved two passenger vehicles and a commercial motor vehicle.
A preliminary investigation indicates the first passenger vehicle was southbound awaiting a left-hand turn when it was struck from behind by the second passenger vehicle.
The collision caused the victims’ car to enter the northbound travel lane where it was struck by the commercial vehicle.
The crash killed a 25-year-old female and 18-year-old male, both Barrington residents.
An 83-year-old female driver was transported to an area hospital with injuries.
Route 125 was closed for several hours due to the size and severity of the crash scene.
The investigation is ongoing with multiple agencies involved.
The Barrington Police Department was assisted by the Barrington Fire Department, New Hampshire State Police Troops A and G, the Strafford County Regional Accident Reconstruction Team, the Lee Police and Fire Departments, McGregor Memorial EMS, Barrington Department of Public Works, and New Hampshire Department of Transportation.
