3 arrested by Rhode Island state police on domestic, fraud charges

HOPE VALLEY — Rhode Island State Police arrested three people Wednesday on charges ranging from fraud to domestic violations.

Denis G. Fournier, 55, of 78 Wakefield Street, West Warwick, was arrested at 9:51 a.m. on a Kent County Superior Court bench warrant for failure to appear for restitution review.

The original charge was obtaining property by false pretense over $10,000, originating from the Coventry Police Department.

The arrest resulted from a motor vehicle stop on Centre Street in West Warwick.

At 11:38 a.m., troopers arrested Shannon Wagner, 54, of 180A Maxson Hill Road, Hopkinton, on a charge of obstruction of an officer.

The arrest occurred while troopers were attempting to locate a wanted individual at 150 Glen Rock Road, South Kingstown.

At the same time, troopers arrested Jeremie Cabeceiras, 52, of 150 Glen Rock Road, South Kingstown, for violation of a no contact order and domestic willful trespass.

The arrest resulted from a barracks investigation by Trooper Toth, with Cabeceiras arrested at his residence.

All three suspects were transported to the State Police Hope Valley Barracks for processing.

Fournier was later transported to Third Division District Court for arraignment, while Wagner and Cabeceiras were transported to Fourth Division District Court for arraignment.
