Plattsburgh police arrest man on grand larceny charge after Walmart theft

PLATTSBURGH — On September 1, members of the New York State Police arrested Lee I. Sajler of Plattsburgh on a charge of grand larceny in the fourth degree.

On August 30 at approximately 6:14 p.m., troopers responded to a report of larceny at the Walmart located in Consumer Square in Plattsburgh.

An investigation revealed that a male had entered the store and attempted to steal merchandise valued at $1,105.18, bypassing all points of purchase.

The male was confronted by the store’s Asset Protection Associate but fled the scene.

Following their investigation, State Police identified the individual as Sajler.

He was arrested and taken to SP Plattsburgh for processing.

Sajler was subsequently released on an appearance ticket, which is returnable to the Town of Plattsburgh Court.
