NORTH KINGSTOWN — Rhode Island State Police made four arrests Tuesday in separate incidents involving larceny, driving violations and counterfeiting charges.
At 2:41 p.m., troopers arrested Gary Hutley, 38, of Providence, on an affidavit and arrest warrant for larceny greater than $1,500 originating from the East Providence Police Department.
The arrest resulted from a motor vehicle stop on Route 138 in North Kingstown.
Hutley was transported to the Rhode Island State Police Wickford Barracks where he was processed and later turned over to the East Providence Police Department.
At 4:59 p.m., troopers arrested Matia Alvarez, 30, of Providence, on a Third District Court bench warrant for failure to appear for pre-trial conference on the original charge of driving with a suspended license originating from the North Providence Police Department.
The arrest resulted from a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in Cranston.
Alvarez was transported to the Rhode Island State Police Wickford Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a justice of the peace, and released with a future court date.
At 7:09 p.m., troopers arrested Yvonn Thurin, 33, of Everett, Massachusetts, on an affidavit arrest warrant for obtaining property by false pretenses greater than $1,500, passing of counterfeit bills/certificates and counterfeiting in general originating from the State Police Wickford Barracks.
The arrest resulted from a barracks investigation by Trooper Felice and Providence Police Department locating the subject.
Thurin was processed, arraigned by a justice of the peace, and released with a future court date.
At 9:47 p.m., troopers arrested Glenn Bruhn, 37, of Warwick, for driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor first offense and refusal to submit to a chemical test first offense.
The arrest resulted from a motor vehicle stop on East Avenue in Warwick.
Bruhn was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a justice of the peace, and released into the custody of a responsible adult.
