BRIGHTON — Police say a motorcyclist from South Carolina was killed in a two-vehicle crash near East Henrietta Road and Crittenden Road shortly before noon on August 31.
According to the Brighton Police Department, a southbound motorcycle collided with a northbound vehicle that was attempting to turn left onto Crittenden Road.
The motorcycle operator was identified as Lex T. Baker, 20, of Little River, South Carolina.
Despite lifesaving efforts by first responders, Baker was pronounced dead at the scene.
A preliminary investigation found that the motorcycle’s speed was a factor in the crash.
At this time, police said no criminal charges are pending.
Assistance at the scene was provided by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police, Henrietta Fire Department and the Brighton Volunteer Ambulance.
