NEW LONDON — A motorcycle struck a New London police cruiser at approximately 10:13 p.m. Aug. 31 in the area of Neptune Avenue and Park Street.
The police cruiser was responding to a call for service at Ocean Beach Park when the collision occurred.
The adult male motorcycle operator appeared to have sustained serious injuries and was transported to L+M Hospital for medical treatment.
The New London Police Accident Reconstruction Team responded to the scene and is conducting an active investigation.
