GRANVILLE — A Montpelier woman was ejected from her vehicle and seriously injured after crashing into a guardrail on Vermont Route 100 on Saturday afternoon.
Sabrina Leclerc, 27, was driving a 2004 Toyota Sienna southbound on Route 100 near North Hollow Road at approximately 1:20 p.m. when she failed to maintain her lane of travel, according to Vermont State Police.
The vehicle struck the guardrail and Leclerc was ejected onto the pavement.
White River Valley Ambulance transported Leclerc to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.
A passenger in the vehicle, Richard Gaboury, 35, of Granville, sustained minor injuries and declined hospital transport.
Neither Leclerc nor Gaboury was wearing a seatbelt, police said.
The vehicle sustained significant damage in the crash.
Leclerc faces charges of negligent operation and reckless endangerment.
Road conditions were dry and weather was clear at the time of the crash.
The Granville Fire Department, White River Valley Ambulance and Killington Towing assisted at the scene.
