WEATHERSFIELD — Two men were arrested on outstanding warrants during a traffic stop Sunday evening on Route 131.
Jeremy Slack, 48, who is homeless, was taken into custody on an in-state warrant for failing to appear on charges of heroin possession and false information to law enforcement.
Nathan Langner, 44, of Claremont, New Hampshire, was found to have a cite and release warrant for gross negligent operation and leaving the scene of an accident.
The Windsor County Sheriff’s Department conducted the high-risk motor vehicle stop at approximately 6:40 p.m. at the intersection of Route 106 and Route 131 as part of an ongoing operation to combat criminal behavior in Weathersfield.
Slack was lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility for lack of $200 bail.
Langner was cited and released.
The vehicle was towed due to lack of insurance and the driver having a suspended license.
Both men were issued citations to appear in Windsor County Court on Tuesday at 12:30 p.m.
The Weathersfield Fire Department assisted with traffic control during the incident.
