Hope Valley man arrested on domestic violence warrant

HOPE VALLEY — Rhode Island State Police arrested a Providence man Friday on multiple domestic violence charges stemming from a barracks investigation.

Troopers arrested Terrance Richardson, 33, of 21 Milk Street, Providence, at 9:40 p.m. Aug. 29 on an affidavit arrest warrant issued by Hope Valley Barracks.

Richardson faces charges of domestic violence felony assault and/or battery, domestic violence disorderly conduct second offense, and domestic violence vandalism second offense.

The arrest resulted from a barracks investigation with assistance from the Violent Fugitive Task Force in locating Richardson.

Richardson was transported to Hope Valley Barracks for processing before being taken to Fourth Division District Court for arraignment.

In a separate incident Friday at 9:40 p.m., troopers arrested Megan McDonald, 30, of 70 Hurtin Street, Port Jefferson Station, N.Y., for first-offense reckless driving.

The arrest followed a traffic stop on Route 95 South in Richmond.

McDonald was processed at Hope Valley Barracks, arraigned and released with a future Fourth District Court date.
