Police also reported that Steele was the subject of an unrelated narcotics investigation being conducted by the City of Kingston police and Town of Ulster police.

As a result of that investigation, Steele was charged with three counts each of the felonies of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree.

Steele was also charged with the felony of being a fugitive from justice and the misdemeanor of false personation.

He was processed on all eight charges, held overnight, arraigned in Kingston City Court and remanded to Ulster County Jail without bail.
