Waterbury, CT police arrest 12 in drug, weapons raid

WATERBURY — Members of the Waterbury Police Department’s Vice and Intelligence Unit, Crime Prevention Unit, Auto Theft Task Force and Gang Task Force in coordination with Connecticut State Police executed several search and seizure warrants on Aug. 27 at approximately 10:16 a.m.

The warrants included 140 Willow Street and for the persons of Isaiah Mujica, 28, Chance Vidal, 29, and Rosemary Winters, 59, all residents of Waterbury.

During the investigation, police seized heroin, fentanyl, ammunition, drug paraphernalia, $8,000 in U.S. currency, a 10mm Glock firearm, a Ruger SP101 revolver and an American Tactical AR-15 rifle.

Isaiah Mujica, 28, of Waterbury, was charged with interfering with a search warrant, multiple firearm charges and possession of narcotics with intent to sell.

Isaiah Mujica is a convicted felon and prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition.

Isaac Mujica, 24, of Waterbury, was charged with interfering with a search warrant, multiple firearm charges and possession of narcotics with intent to sell.

Jacob Mujica, 30, of Waterbury, was charged with interfering with a search warrant, multiple firearm charges and possession of narcotics with intent to sell.

Other arrests include Brian Acosta-Perez, 31, of Waterbury, who had five active warrants.

Also arrested were Mario Santos, 49, of Wolcott; Kristina Janssen, 38, of Litchfield; Rosemary Winters, 59, of Waterbury; Gladys Velez, 62, of Waterbury; Miranda Pope, 41, of Waterbury; Lois Tremblay, 58, of Waterbury; Heather Huntley, 38, of Waterbury; and Paulo Juca-Saquizari, 33, of Waterbury.

Charges for these individuals include interfering with a search warrant and possession of drug paraphernalia.
