Worcester woman arrested on drug distribution charges at McDonald’s

WORCESTER — Worcester Police officers arrested a 37-year-old woman on drug possession and distribution charges following a citizen complaint at a McDonald’s on Main Street Aug. 29.

Officers responded to the restaurant at approximately 11:35 a.m. after a citizen reported a disturbance and people possibly using drugs.

Police identified the parties involved, including a male and female who consented to searches of their persons.

Officers found nine baggies of crack cocaine, a bag of heroin and 19 Gabapentin pills on Charlene Brooks of Worcester.

The narcotics were packaged in small individual quantities consistent with distribution, according to police.

Brooks was arrested and charged with possession of a Class A substance (heroin), possession with intent to distribute Class B substance (crack cocaine) and possession with intent to distribute Class B substance (Gabapentin).

The male was released without charges.
