CROWN POINT — New York State Police responded to a fatal car accident on Lake Road at approximately 4:07 a.m. Aug. 28.
An investigation revealed that Frederick J. Raymon, an 84-year-old resident of Ticonderoga, was driving a blue 2016 Ford F-150 northbound on Lake Road when he failed to make a left turn, causing his vehicle to exit the roadway.
The vehicle struck a tree and then a stone wall.
Ticonderoga EMS and the Crown Point Fire Department arrived on the scene and attempted life-saving measures on Raymon.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Raymon was the sole occupant in the vehicle.
This is an ongoing investigation.
