JOHNSTON — A 49-year-old Johnston woman was arrested early Thursday on her third driving under the influence charge after registering a blood alcohol content nearly 2.5 times the legal limit.
Amber L. Nigro of 2808 Hartford Avenue was taken into custody at 12:32 a.m. following a traffic stop on Hartford Avenue, according to Rhode Island State Police.
Nigro was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor with a blood alcohol content of .15 or greater, third and subsequent offense.
Police said breath tests showed Nigro’s blood alcohol content at 0.190% and 0.189% in two phases of testing.
She was transported to the State Police Scituate Barracks where she was processed and held overnight.
Nigro was scheduled for morning arraignment at Third Division District Court.
