Albion police seek man wanted on theft, fleeing charges

ALBION — Police are seeking Brian Wallace on multiple charges stemming from an alleged theft and high-speed chase.

Wallace is accused of stealing more than $350 worth of items from a Tops grocery store, according to the Village of Albion Police Department.

Police say Wallace fled when officers attempted to stop him, leading to a chase with speeds exceeding 100 mph.

Wallace was charged with six vehicle and traffic violations, unlawful fleeing of a police officer, petit larceny, second-degree reckless endangerment and sixth-degree conspiracy.

The fleeing, larceny and reckless endangerment charges are misdemeanors, while the conspiracy charge is a Class B misdemeanor.

Police say Wallace failed to appear for his scheduled court date and remains wanted on the charges.
