LINCOLN — Lincoln police arrested two Woonsocket residents after a traffic stop led to the recovery of illegal drugs on Aug. 25.
Officers attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation when they observed a bag being discarded from the passenger side window as the vehicle pulled over.
Police secured the area and recovered the bag, which contained approximately 19 grams of suspected crack cocaine and 12 grams of suspected powder cocaine.
The driver was identified as Joshua Withee, 47, and the passenger as Amanda Bergeron, 34, both of Woonsocket.
According to police, Bergeron was charged with three counts of possession with intent to deliver, conspiracy, and obstruction of a police officer.
Withee faces the same charges, in addition to a charge of driving on a suspended license, fourth offense, and multiple traffic violations.
Both individuals were taken into custody following the investigation.
