ROYALTON — A Bloomfield, Conn., man was arrested early Aug. 25 following a traffic stop near 2190 VT Route 107, where he was found unresponsive in his vehicle.
Vermont State Police from the Royalton Barracks responded to the scene at approximately 12:30 a.m. after receiving a report about the motorist.
Troopers identified the operator as Jarvis A. Lawrence, 27.
Police observed signs of impairment during their interaction with Lawrence and placed him under arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Further investigation led to the discovery of suspected fentanyl, a felony amount of suspected cocaine, and an unserialized firearm in Lawrence’s possession.
Lawrence faces charges including DUI refusal, fentanyl trafficking, felony possession of cocaine, possessing a weapon while committing a felony, and unlawful conduct with an unserialized weapon.
He was also issued a Vermont Civil Violation Complaint for possession of a firearm without a serial number.
No injuries were reported during the incident.
The Vermont State Police did not release information about Lawrence’s court date or bail status.
