SOUTHBRIDGE — Officers responded to a disturbance report on Pine Street at approximately 4:58 p.m. Saturday.
Upon arrival, police observed various household and home improvement items scattered in a driveway.
Officers contacted a visibly upset female and began an investigation.
A male subject was located inside the residence, detained and secured in a marked police cruiser as a precautionary measure.
The female became increasingly agitated during the investigation.
Officers then contacted a second male subject who became agitated and combative toward police.
As officers attempted to restore peace, one of the male subjects approached the marked cruiser and tried to open the door to allow the detained man to escape.

All parties involved continued to act disorderly and followed officers outside yelling obscenities.
An officer was assaulted during the arrests after repeated attempts to de-escalate the situation.
All suspects were transported to police headquarters for processing.
Trista M. Brodeur, 42, of 18 Pine Street was charged with disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, assault and battery on a police officer and resisting arrest.
