PLATTSBURGH — New York State Police responded to Smithfield Boulevard on Aug. 23 at approximately 2:21 p.m. to investigate a deceased individual.
The investigation revealed that the deceased was a 51-year-old transient male named Joseph J. Alix, who was found behind the Liquor and Wine Warehouse.
Authorities report that there were no signs of foul play.
Clinton County Deputy Coroner arrived at the scene, pronounced Alix deceased, and ordered the removal of his body.
An autopsy is scheduled to take place at Glens Falls Hospital at a later date and time to be determined.
