EDEN — A 29-year-old Eden woman crashed her vehicle into an unoccupied residence early Tuesday morning and was subsequently charged with felony drug possession.
Kayla Languerand was driving a 2002 Jeep Liberty on Knowles Flat Road at 6:22 a.m. Aug. 20 when she lost control of the vehicle.
The Jeep left the roadway and struck the residence at 1421 Knowles Flat Road.
Languerand was transported to Copley Hospital with suspected injuries.
She was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
The vehicle sustained heavy front-end damage and was totaled.
During the investigation, troopers found Languerand in possession of a felony amount of fentanyl.
She was issued a criminal citation ordering her to appear at Lamoille County Superior Court Criminal Division on Oct. 1 at 12:30 p.m.
Weather conditions were clear with dry, gravel road conditions at the time of the crash.
The North Hyde Park/Eden Fire Department, Northern EMS and Daniels Towing assisted troopers at the scene.
