Bath police arrest 2 in stolen motorcycle case

BATH — A Village of Bath Police Department officer on patrol observed a motorcycle with switched plates parked on W Steuben Street and two subjects standing near it at approximately 1:26 a.m. Aug. 20.

An investigation determined that the motorcycle was stolen from the City of Corning and that the subjects nearby were in possession of it.

Victoria M. Morgan, age 41, homeless, was arrested on scene and charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 4th Degree, a Class E Felony.

Incident to her arrest, she was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and was additionally charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.

Morgan was processed and transported to Steuben County Jail for CAP arraignment where she was released.

Robert E.M. Wright, age 43, of Campbell, had fled the scene prior to his apprehension.

Wright was located on Cruger Street on Aug. 22 and taken into custody without incident.

Wright is charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 4th Degree, a Class E Felony, and Obstructing Governmental Administration in the 2nd Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.

Incident to his arrest, he was found to be in possession of Suboxone and Hydrocodone, both controlled substances.

Wright was additionally charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.

Wright was processed and transported to Steuben County Jail for CAP arraignment where he remains held.
