Lebanon man arrested on child sexual abuse image charges

LEBANON — A 45-year-old Lebanon man has been arrested on charges of possessing child sexual abuse images following a lengthy investigation that began in April 2024.

Eric Munro was taken into custody Aug. 24 after returning to the Lebanon area, according to the Lebanon Police Department.

The department’s Cyber Crimes Unit initiated the investigation on April 29, 2024, after receiving reports that an individual in Lebanon was in possession of child sexual abuse content.

During the investigation, police executed a search warrant on an electronic device belonging to Munro, which revealed multiple child sexual abuse images.

The Lebanon Police Department obtained an arrest warrant for Munro in December 2024.

Following the issuance of the warrant, Munro fled the area to unknown whereabouts.

Munro has been charged with six counts of possession of child sexual abuse images, all Class A felonies.

He is scheduled to be arraigned Aug. 25 in the 2nd Circuit Lebanon District Court.
