LANCASTER — A Dover man faces more than a dozen charges after police say he crashed his motorcycle into a patrol car while trying to flee officers on Aug. 24.
Joshua Warren, 37, was arrested after the collision on Page Hill Road, according to the Lancaster Police Department.
Officers first discovered Warren’s motorcycle parked in a corn field off Stockwell Road earlier that day.
Police determined the license plate on the motorcycle did not belong to the vehicle and were unable to locate anyone in the area.
Later that day, Officer Trivero spotted the motorcycle being driven off Stockwell Road and attempted a traffic stop.
Warren accelerated in an attempt to elude the officer, police said.
Officer Trivero followed the motorcycle as it traveled up Page Hill Road.
Warren suddenly slowed down, prompting Officer Trivero to move left to avoid a collision.
Warren then turned left into the police cruiser, according to authorities.
Warren was thrown from the motorcycle and taken into custody.
He was transported to Weeks Medical Center where he was treated for minor scrapes and bruises.
After being medically cleared, Warren was taken to the Lancaster Police Department for processing.
Police said suspected narcotics were found during a search incident to arrest.
Warren was charged with reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, two counts of possession of controlled/narcotic drugs, operating a motor vehicle without an alcohol interlock device, disobeying an officer, driving after revocation/suspension for DUI, criminal mischief, two counts of transporting drugs in a motor vehicle, reckless operation, misuse of plates, uninspected vehicle, unregistered vehicle and possession of marijuana.
Warren was held on preventative detention and transported to the Coos County House of Corrections pending a bail hearing in Lancaster District Court.
