SPRINGFIELD — A 40-year-old Claremont, New Hampshire man was arrested on drug possession charges after police responded to a report of an intoxicated person on Elm Hill Street on Aug. 12.
Roger Colby was identified as the allegedly intoxicated individual when Springfield Police Department officers arrived on scene at 5:38 p.m.
Officers recognized Colby from prior law enforcement encounters.
A subsequent investigation revealed Colby allegedly had an active in-state warrant.
During a search incident to arrest, officers allegedly found suspected crack cocaine in Colby’s possession.
Colby was issued a criminal citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit, on Nov. 4 at 8:30 a.m.
He faces a charge of possession of crack cocaine.
The investigation was conducted by Officer Markus Watson with assistance from Officer Vincent Franchi and Officer Joshua Callahan.
