MERIDEN — On May 31 at approximately 11:09 p.m., members of the Meriden Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to the rear parking lot area of the North Tower located at 55 Willow Street after a report of an assault in progress.
The responding officers located a female victim who appeared to have suffered serious stab wounds.
The victim was then transported to Hartford Hospital for trauma treatment.
A crime scene was secured in the rear lot of the North Tower, and the investigation was taken over by the Major Crimes Unit.
Surveillance footage of the incident depicted an argument between a male and the female victim.
Prior to the stabbing, the male was observed physically assaulting the female, forcefully taking items from her and driving his vehicle into her.

Due to on-site charges, Samuel was remanded to the Department of Corrections by his Parole Officer.
Samuel was later charged with narcotics violations following the execution of a Search and Seizure Warrant on his vehicle.
Working with the State’s Attorney’s Office in New Haven, an arrest warrant was secured for Samuel for the following charges: first-degree assault, first-degree robbery, criminal attempt at second-degree assault and first-degree unlawful restraint.
