EAST HAMPTON — Two men turned themselves in to police on warrants stemming from a July 5 incident on Lake Pocotopaug involving illegal fireworks that caused a boat fire.
Patrick White, 50, of East Hampton, surrendered Aug. 19 and was charged with illegal possession of exploding fireworks, reckless endangerment in the 2nd degree, and creating a public disturbance.
White was released after posting a $10,000 court-set bond and is scheduled to appear at Middletown Superior Court on Tuesday, Sept. 2, at 9 a.m.
Evan Craven, 25, of Jewett City, turned himself in Aug. 20 on the same charges related to the Lake Pocotopaug incident.
Craven was unable to post the $10,000 court-set bond and was held in police custody until his arraignment later that morning at Middletown Superior Court.
In other police activity, Jayson O’Neill, 19, of East Hampton was issued a speeding ticket Aug. 18.
Clarence Braun, 40, of East Hampton was issued a summons Aug. 22 for driving through a red light and operating under suspension.
Braun is scheduled to appear before Middletown Superior Court on Wednesday, Sept. 3, at 9 a.m.
Ulla Plourde, 51, of Southington was arrested Aug. 22 for driving under the influence.
Plourde was released on a promise to appear before Middletown Superior Court on Wednesday, Sept. 3, at 9 a.m.
Between Monday, Aug. 18, and Sunday, Aug. 24, officers responded to 12 medical calls, 2 motor vehicle accidents, 7 alarms, and conducted 9 traffic stops.
