FRANKLIN — Sheriff Craig S. DuMond announced Tuesday that an investigation into a harassment complaint has resulted in the arrest of a Walton man.
On Aug. 2, Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a report of harassment in the Town of Franklin.
An investigation into the harassment complaint revealed that 61-year-old Tracy Wood, of Walton, allegedly engaged in a verbal and physical altercation with the victim.
On Aug. 8, Sheriff’s Deputies submitted a Criminal Summons request and an Order of Protection request to the Town of Franklin Court.
On Aug. 19, Sheriff’s Deputies received the requested Criminal Summons and Order Of Protection from the Court.
On Monday, Sheriff’s Deputies located and subsequently arrested Wood at his residence on one count of Harassment in the second degree, a violation of the New York State Penal Law.
Wood was released on the Criminal Summons and was directed to appear in the Town of Franklin Court on a later date to answer the charge.
