WALTON — A 70-year-old Walton man was arrested Friday on charges of violating an order of protection at the Delaware County Fairgrounds.
Joseph Mascioli was charged with one count of criminal contempt in the second degree, a Class A misdemeanor, according to Delaware County Sheriff Craig S. DuMond.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of an order of protection violation at the fairgrounds on Aug. 15.
An investigation revealed that Mascioli allegedly approached and made contact with the protected party, violating the issuing court’s protection order.
Deputies located and arrested Mascioli at the scene.
Mascioli was released on an appearance ticket and directed to appear in Village of Walton Court at a later date to answer the charges.
